Scepters are identified by a larger crystal which seems to grown out of a smaller one and has facets on the underside which terminate into the smaller crystal. 

Scepters are stones of action, direction and creativity. They help us to regain our power if we feel we've lost it. They are stimulating, and help us to feel capable and able in all situations. They also teach us to practice what we preach.

Scepter Quartz is helpful in the case of hormonal imbalances and sexual disfunction.

The double terminated Smoky Partial-Scepter has the added characteristics of Smoky Quartz and of double termination (see below.) 

In addition, one of the terminations is a generator crystal which is distinguished by all six sides meeting perfectly at the apex. Generators are especially useful if one is feeling depleted of energy as they tap into the Earth's electromagnetic field allowing us to recharge from it very much like a battery. They can also be used to send intentions and prayers out, acting like a megaphone of sorts.

Smoky Quartz is one of the best clearing and grounding stones available. It is like a bad energy vacuum, pulling it out transmuting it, and as effective as smudging. Smoky Quartz is also useful when it comes to concentration, focus and organization. For someone who has trouble in any of these areas, wearing or keeping a smoky quartz piece nearby is helpful.

Double terminated crystals are  useful in bridging energy between the chakras, and repairing gaps in the aura. The energy flows through them in both directions due to the double termination, allowing them to both receive and transmit energy at the same time.

The second scepter is a Tibetan Black Quartz partial Scepter. As with most Tibetan Black Quartz, it is double terminated. Black Quartz is known to be one of the most powerful aura cleansers and spiritual protection stones. They form a protective field of light around those who work with them, as well as penetrating the entire auric field so that the light is carried with you wherever you go.
