Pyrite is a stone of protection, action, and manifestation. It stimulates creativity and helps one overcome fears that cause inaction. It increases vitality while rebalancing the system so that all functions work well together. For men it is beneficial in combatting impotence. 

It is often assumed that pyrite has been carved or shaped. The pieces you see are pyrite in its natural form. It grows in cubes, clusters and when compressed between sheets of shale, in what are known as pyrite suns. Pyrite suns are becoming rare as the coal mines where they are discovered are shutting down.
